A Roman Landmark Restored to Its Former Glory
n the heart of Rome, Singer Palace is where history breathes in elegance. Once the Singer Sewing HQ, this Art Deco landmark has been reimagined into a refined boutique hotel—where old walls whisper again, and timeless design meets modern grace.

Steeped in the heart of Rome’s historic district, the Singer Palace Hotel is more than just a place to stay—it’s a revival. An invitation to step into a story where centuries-old elegance is reimagined through the lens of contemporary design. Located just moments from the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps, the hotel sits at the crossroads of Rome’s eternal grandeur and its present-day pulse.

Originally the prestigious headquarters of Singer Sewing Machines in the early 20th century, this dignified building has been masterfully restored by Roman architect Potito Michele Giorgio. His careful touch preserves the structure’s Art Deco soul—where polished marble, paneled round elevators, Bakelite and wood finishes, and intricate stained glass speak of a time when craftsmanship was paramount. The original grand staircase still anchors the space, curving upward like a memory made visible.

Inside, Milanese designer Elisa Ferrari weaves modernity into this historic narrative. Her vision—a harmonious blend of classical detailing and contemporary lines—has transformed the interiors into a dialogue between eras. Across four floors, 30 luminous rooms (including nine suites) offer guests views of the quiet inner courtyard or the vibrant Roman streets below, Via del Corso and Via Specchi.

Tall ceilings and expansive windows infuse each room with natural light. A neutral greige palette sets a calming tone, complemented by dark parquet floors, upholstered headboards, and curated objets d’art. From custom silk wall coverings to bespoke paneling, every detail has been chosen with intention, offering not just comfort but a sense of quiet luxury.
Bathrooms, too, reflect this balance of old-world splendor and contemporary refinement. Glass-enclosed rain showers and soaking tubs are framed by bold red-veined white marble and delicate mosaic tiles—a modern Roman bath, reimagined.

Crowning the hotel is a two-level rooftop terrace, home to a restaurant and cocktail bar that effortlessly channels la dolce vita. From this perch above the city, guests dine and sip amid panoramic views of ancient domes and terracotta rooftops, where each sunset feels like an intimate performance.

But beyond the architecture and design, it’s the service that truly defines Singer Palace. Here, every guest is treated not as a traveler, but as an honored guest of the house. Attentive, warm, and impeccably personalized, the hospitality echoes the building’s legacy—where excellence is not an aspiration, but a tradition. In a city where every stone tells a story, the Singer Palace adds a new chapter—one where old walls whisper again, and history breathes in elegance.
